Crew's First Aggie Scrimage

August started and the Aggies had their first scrimmage at Kyle Field. Brett couldn't stand living so close now and not going to see the action... So, he and Crew took a daddy and son roadtrip to College Station to watch the Aggies get ready to take on the SEC this football season.  Sounded like a long hot day, but they both had a ton of fun! And since Crew isn't much for sitting for long periods of time, they started walking around the stadium. Brett said the gate to go down the field was open so Crew just ran down. They spent the rest of their time standing behind the players watching from ground level! As Brett and Crew kept saying, "It was AWESOME!" Crew was a little worn out to meet the players after, but Brett did get him to pose for a few pics before they hit the road. How did he get him to sit still and smile -look real close and you will see he is holding a bag of m&m's in his little hands- I think some bribery was part of this deal, ha!

At least Tech and A&M are not in the same conference anymore- we don't have as much rivalry going on as usual- ha!=) Def ready for some football (and cooler weather) to start!

TechAggie!

Crew got the most adorable and creative Cotton Bowl present, I had to share it! After we went to the A&M vs. Texas Tech game, my mom and my mother in law decided Crew needed some "new" college football apparel. No, not another Aggie shirt, or even a Tech shirt- but a Tech AND Aggie shirt. My mom found the two t-shirts, Brett's mom sewed them together, and tada- and UNIQUE TechAggie shirt! Too cute! He has a double sided shirt, just in case he can't decide who to cheer for! I know football season is over, but we can wear it for basketball games and hopefully it will still fit next fall too. If not, they are already planning the design for another shirt in a bigger size. Too funny!

Class of 2032?

This past weekend we traveled to College Station with both our families to watch the Aggies take on the Red Raiders! Because of the rivalry in our family, this is always a good game and a good time! Our good family friends have a daughter who is getting her masters at A&M, so she had us over to her apartment for a yummy lunch and tailgate before the game. I stayed back with Crew so he could take a nap as everyone else went to the game. We met up after and tailgated with some of Brett's good family friends.

This was Crew's first trip to Aggieland- and Brett was beyond excited to show him all around! He got a tour of the campus, all the sites, and pictures in front of Kyle field. Brett kept talking about how Crew would be back here in 17 years for school!I got teary eyed just thinking about how fast I'm sure the time will fly by! BUT- we will let HIM decide where he wants to go! Haha!
What a fun day we had with our family and friends- and a not so pretty game for those Tech fans!

This BBQ is yummy!

Ready to go the game!

Football and Fall!

Daddy and Crew watching the Cowboys

Go Cowboys!!!

Well, I guess its almost that time of year! The cowboys played their first pre-season game on Sunday and this is what I saw when I walked in the living room! (not even sitting on the couch- sitting on the table so they could be even closer to the action- ha! ) Brett loved watching football with Crew! And Crew must have liked it too- he lasted maybe a minute? Thats pretty long for him!
But I can't wait for the fall- here are some reasons why:
- COOLER weather!
- Walks outside again (can't wait to take Crew to the trail around Towne Lake)
- FOOTBALL and College Game Day
- Homemade Chicken Soup and Chili in the crockpot
- Pumpkin Patch
and so much more!! Did I mention I can't wait for it to cool down??
