This weekend we traveled to Dallas to celebrate Memorial Day and Brett's Birthday. Brett and I spent all Saturday looking for new bedroom furniture. I think we finally narrowed it down, but now have to get rid our old set (if you know anyone looking for a nice queen set let me know.) Grancie watched Crew so we could shop, and boy did they have fun! She brought out her John Deere tractor and Crew loved it! Since we missed seeing his excitement that day, she brought it out again on Sunday so Brett's family could see how much he enjoyed driving and pushing all the buttons. Crew was pushing every one's hands off saying "mine". We are still working on sharing, ha! And, Grancie also found this huge blow up ball. It took us about an hour to blow up (even with an electric pump)- but Crew loved it too. The inside is hollow and handles in it, so you can roll the ball around. What a neat outside toy, even for grown ups. I could see a big game of Crab Soccer?!?
Brett's birthday celebration was wonderful. Again my mother in law always out does herself with her very talented art and party planning skills. We enjoyed a wonderful visit and getting to spend time with our family. God Bless all the troops who fight so we may have freedom.

Splish Splash
Yesterday we had a playgroup swim party. Crew had so much fun playing in the water- he took a 4 hour nap when we got back! He has no fear and just jumps right in. (A little scary since we haven't taken swim lessons since last summer, so we are signing him up soon.) With the weather being 100 degrees already, I see alot more swim parties this summer. I only took 2 pics, oops!

Lil Talker
Crew has just started to talk. Funny because one day it was jibberish and the next day it was real words. You will ask him to say something and he tries so hard to say it. Here is a little glimpse of him talking on the way home from dinner on sunday. Ignore the horrible mom voice, and bumpy car.

Birthdays
This weekend my parents and my brothers came down to celebrate birthdays. Jeff's birthday was last week, and Brett's is this week, so we did a joint celebration. Also, we had to celebrate mother's day too! They also helped us get things done around our house, which was wonderful. Thank you is never enough!
On Sunday, we celebrated Philip's 3rd birthday at his race-car party. Crew had so much fun playing red light green light, painting wooden cars, and chasing the big kids around.

Jordan's Bachelorette Party
This past weekend was a busy one! One of my good friends from high school, Rebecca, got married in Los Cabos. We were so sad that we had to miss her special day. Wishing her and her husband John many years of happiness!
This weekend was also one of my best friends from college, Jordan's bachelorette party. I am in Jordan's wedding in August, and can't wait for the big day. To celebrate the weekend, we rented a house right on Lake Travis. The home was absolutely amazing, and was the perfect "getaway" for the weekend. We enjoyed late nights of girl talk and fun! On Saturday afternoon we went out on the pontoon for a few hours. It was wonderful to "soak up some rays", relax and swim in the lake. That night we went to a restaurant right on the lake and enjoyed a yummy dinner.
I had so much fun catching up with old friends, and meeting some new ones too! Thanks for a great girls getaway!

*This veil was made for my bachelorette party. It has since been passed down to each bride to celebrate their bachelorette party. After you wear the veil, you sign your name and wedding date in the headband, and "add" something to it. It is now quite the masterpiece. Here's Jordan making sure it fits, ha!
(The veil has been around 5 years strong and still going, and has now been worn by 5 bachelorettes...)
