Who wants a hamburger?

This morning Crew had a playdate with his friend Ben. They had so much fun together playing with trucks, crawling in the tent, playing at the water table, and of course chasing each other around! This was as good as a picture I could get with these 2 busy toddlers.

I am trying to think of new activities to do since it is 110 degrees out, so.. today we tried play- doh. I didn't really know if Crew would be old enough for it, but he LOVED it! At first it went right in the mouth, after that he kept squeezing it and breaking it apart. We got a play-doh buger stand, and here are a few of our creations!

Making some french fries

How does this work?

Our finished prodcut.. play-doh burger and fries.
(Crew thought it looked so yummy he tried to eat it, ha!)

Quarter Pounder!

A hotdog.. can I eat this one too and see if it tastes like the real thing?

Poolside Bridal Shower

This past weekend my friend Tara and I hosted a bridal shower for our friend Jordan who is getting married in August. We rented out the club room at Tara's apartment and it worked out perfect! The room overlooked the beautiful pool and cabanas so it was a nice backdrop for a summer shower. We were running around at the end, so I only got a few pics. We had so much fun are so excited for Jordan & Brian's big day in a few short weeks!

Thank you gifts for the guests- homemade brown sugar bath scrub

Let me know if you want the recipe for the sugar scrub.

I found it on a blog and it was super easy to make- great summer gift!

(Sorry, forgot to get a pic of all the yummy food)

Reserved a few cabanas by the pool for guests to enjoy

A few of the guests enjoying some lunch

I have never done this at a shower before- But we gave everyone a glass of champagne and went around the room and had the guests each give a toast to Jordan.

Good concept, but as it got to be my turn I was a basket case and could hardly get the words out!

Here is Jordan's mom giving her the last and final toast, so cute!

Bubbly Bath

This past weekend we went to Katy. We got my dad and Brett and grilling class at Taste of Texas for Father's Day and they LOVED it! They learned a bunch of grilling techniques, how to select a good steack, season it, and how to cook it just right. They even got a yummy steack lunch at the end of it so I would say a pretty good father's day gig! (And now we are expecting some yummy steak dinners too!)

We also got to visit with a few of our good friends from college which was also fun. My friend Jessica, is having her 2nd baby this thursday, Beckett. Please keep their family in your prayers. They have a little girl also, Crew's age, and Crew loved his little playdate with Ardyn. We also spent some time with Brett's law school roommate, Robert and his wife Holly. We got to meet their adorable little boy, Owen, and Crew couldn't get enough of the "baby".

As always, we enjoyed our family time! Grammy was out of town, but Crew swam and played nonstop with his uncles, and really enjoyed driving his powerwheels. He was definetly the entertainment! He cried for the last 45 minutes on the way home crying "Papa, Papa, Papa." What a great weekend.

To clean off all the chlorine from the pool, Crew took a bath in papa's jacuzzi. Uncle John decided to add a little shampoo to the bubbles, and before you know it we had bubbles higher than the tub and the jets!! Here's our little man enjoying his bubble bath. All he kept saying over and over was "bubbles, bubbles, bubbles", and he was right- TONS of bubbles!

4th of July

We had a wonderful 4th of July celebrating in our new house with our family. Brett's mom, Aunt Sandy and Uncle David, and Cousin Julie came down for the weekend. We enjoyed some yummy cookouts, hikes, late night ice cream visits, shopping, and a visit to the winery. We all had so much fun! We sure did miss those fireworks this year though (it is way too dry here so all shows were cancelled.)

On the actual 4th we rented a boat on Lake Travis and enjoyed looking at the beautiful houses, and even some swimming in the lake. That night we took Crew to the city of Lakeway park for 4th of July celebration. He rode his first ride, and we could not stop him from going up and down and big blow up slide and the blow up train over and over!

Thanks to all the men and women who fight for our freedom everyday. God Bless America!

Crew's new sprinkler from Grancie, he LOVED it!
