Crew's Last Day

Crew finished his 1st year of preschool last week. What a wonderful year it was! His teachers were great and were so patient with him. He's really come such a long way from the beginning of the year. He speaks in sentences, says his ABC's, can count to 10, shares with friends, and many other things. Not to mention, I have made such wonderful friendships with the other moms in the class as well. We have started montly playdates so our kids can play and the moms can catch up too. What a blessing.  Crew loved going to school, so I think this summer will be quite a change. But... I decided come October things are going to change even more for him, so we are going to enjoy our time together while school is out. I cried as I hugged the teachers on the last day- wow, how will Crew already be in his 2nd year of preschool? The times go by so fast!
At the end of class on the last day all the parents were invited for a pizza party.
The kids were all sitting on "picnic blankets" waiting for us when we walked in.

The theme of the school this year was "BEE the best you can BEE"-
So, they all got bee cookies after they finished their pizza.

The BIG Reveal...

We are thrilled to annouce that the Carson family is growing!

We are expecting a baby in October and could not be more excited! This weekend Mimi & Papa, Grancie, Gigi, and Uncle Jeff all came in to celebrate Mother's Day.  We had told them a few weeks ago that I was pregnant, but on Wednesday of this week we found out the sex.  Once everyone got in on Friday night we had a little "Reveal Party".  The table was decorated with pink and blue goodies- and a BIG BOX was filled with balloons.  We asked the guests to wear pink or blue depending on what they thought the gender of the baby was.  (Everyone wore pink except for Grancie who was wearing her blue, haha.) After a brief rainstorm, followed by a beautiful RAINBOW- We took the box out on back porch (sorry its a little dark), and Crew opened it to reveal whether Baby Carson was a BOY or GIRL.

Here are some pics of the big day.

The "Reveal Party" table, box, and beautiful RAINBOW!

The family in their PINK and BLUE.
(As luck has it, my nice DSLR Camera would not focus or take any pics during the reveal and after. Canon is going to get a nice call from me monday- ha. BUT- here are some iPhone pics of the day- sorry for the lack of quality but I guess better than nothing!)

It's A ...........

It's a GIRL!!!!!

Seriously, when the doctor told me it was a girl on Wednesday I just started crying. I would have been happy with a boy or a girl, but just the thought of having one of each make my heart melt.
God is soo good! And as the nurse says.... "Everyone needs their baby girl!"

Crew is already talking about playing Legos and Firetrucks with his "Sissy."
Brett came home on Wednesday night with a cookie cake that said, "Bring on the Pink!" and a bouquet of pink roses. I cried again- I think this little girl already has Brett wrapped around her little finger.

Bring on the pink! The grandparents gave us her first "pink" outfit, a piggy bank, and other
pink goodies.

Praying for a healthy rest of the pregnancy and a healthy baby girl in October!

Pool Time!

Well, not really THAT kind of pool time (our "big" pool doesn't open for a few weeks), but KIDDIE pool time! Crew has only been asking to swim almost everyday for the past 3 months.  Its been nice weather, but not hot enough to fill up a pool with COLD water. Well, today was the day! It was just too hot to go the park (93 degrees already), so we stayed right in our backyard.
Talk about redneck-we pulled out our kiddie pool, big ball sprinkler, floats, squiters, and outdoor chairs for a day of fun. Our next door neighbor has a little boy a month younger than Crew and they have soo much fun playing together! Joshua and Crew swam in the pool for 2-1/2 hours, no joke!
It was nonstop water fights, jumping, playing basketball- you name it they were all giggles and smiles! Get ready for summer, I see many days like this to come!=)

YEA for summer! I forgot how fun this pool was!=)

Water fights!

Time to get wet!

And last weekend our other neighbors across the street invited our culd-a-sec out to their lakehouse on Lake LBJ for a day of BBQ and lake fun.  They set up slip-n-slides for the little kiddos, and took out the boat for tube rides.  Before the tubing began they let the "little" boys go out for a spin around the lake.  Crew is STILL talking about driving, yes he let them drive, the boat! Definetely his highlight of the day! Thanks Briley's for a wonderful day of fun- we are truly blessed with wonderful neighbors!

First place he sat right when he got in the boat- he thought he was the "CREW" of this ship, ha!

Sitting on daddy's lap, ready for the ride!

And there off!!!
