June 2012- South Padre Trip

We have had so many events going on lately, that I want to get caught up on here so we can update you on whats new! June was a super crazy month! We planned a trip to South Padre Island with the Naizer family a few months back. Meghan and I researched and researched and found the perfect house- right by the beach, and with a pool! We enjoyed hanging out and catching up. The kids all LOVED the beach. Only problem was, as our luck would have it, it did rain every single day we were there. Luckily beach storms only last for a short time, so it didn't put too much of a damper on anything. Hopefully we can make this an annual trip, we all had so much fun relaxing!

The day we were driving to South Padre, Brett got his job offer for a new job in Houston. It was an opportunity that he just could not turn down. So- in case you don't know yet- we are MOVING, one again (this better be the last time, ha) to Houston! Once we got back to Austin, the relocation company wanted our house on the market in a week and half, so that pretty much ended July.

So glad to be out of the car! All the kids at the house.

We woke up the next morning to POURING rain...

So we decided to go see the Sea Turtle exhibit instead of the beach.

Rain passed, and out to the beach we went!
I don't know who had more fun in the sand and waves- Brett and Paul or the kids, ha!

Burying Crew!

Crew and I Ty loved to bury their feet in the sand!

 How about some basketball too!

We went out to eat for some fresh seafood- and Crew tried Calamari for the first time.
Honestly, I think he thought it was a chicken nugget since it was fried, but he ate it- and LIKED it too!
Here is the proof, ha!
